Bargiel has a serious, rigid warrior-type personality. Bargiel is very protective of his daughter Alice, and initially hated Vincent and Peter due to his misconception on Vincent's Black and White ways of monsters and humans getting along with one another, and for Peter being "a wolf that pulled out his fangs". This also suggests that he is naïve to jokes, taking them in a literal sense.
He also has pride in his Gamma abilities, and feels disgraced when he's easily defeated by Peter when he inherits the Gravity Fang when he couldn't as well.
